ABOUT MEDIATION

Conflict is a natural part of human relationships but, it does not have to lead to disconnection or hostility. Our mediation services provide a safe, neutral + confidential space for individuals, families, workplaces or organizations to resolve disputes constructively.

Through guided conversation we help participants:

  • clarify issues + express perspectives respectfully

  • identify shared interests + areas of common ground

  • rebuild trust + understanding through open dialogue

  • develop mutually beneficial solutions that honour everyone involved

Our role is not to take sides. but to facilitate communication that leads to clarity, cooperation + peace.Whether you are navigating workplace tension, family conflict, or community disagreements, mediation offers a path forward. One rooted in empathy, accountability _ sustainable resolution.

MEDIATOR VS. THERAPIST

Although mediators + therapists both help people to navigate conflict + emotion, they do so in very different ways. Here are some of the differences between a mediator + a therapist, and a basic guide for when each service may be appropriate for you.

Psychotherapist: Helps individuals, couples, or families understand + heal emotional, psychological, or relational issues that may underlie conflict or distress. Focus is on emotional experiences, patterns of behaviour, insight, growth + healing.

Mediator: Helps people to resolve a specific conflict or dispute through structured communication. The goal is to reach an agreement or understanding that all parties accept. Focus is on the issue/disagreement, finding solutions, rebuilding cooperation, dialogue, negotiation + compromise.

A MEDIATOR:

✓ Remains neutral

Facilitates discussions, clarifies misunderstandings + aids communication
